Who can join?

Roswell Robo Squad is open to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.

No previous robotics experience is required.

Does it cost money?

No.

Roswell Robo Squad is designed to be completely free for students.

Sponsors, donors, fundraising, grants, and community partners help make this possible.

Where do meetings take place?

Meetings will take place primarily at the Roswell Mall, with additional meetings and activities at Hope Family Church of God.

Families will be notified in advance about the location of each meeting.

What are the meeting times?

Our primary schedule is:

Friday: 4:00–7:30 PM

Saturday: 9:30 AM–1:30 PM

Additional meeting times may be added.

Can students join during the year?

Yes. Students may be able to join throughout the year depending on team availability.

What equipment do students use?

Depending on age and program, students may use:

  • VEX GO
  • VEX IQ
  • VEX V5
  • BEST Robotics equipment
  • 3D printers
  • Electronics
  • STEM activity kits

Do students compete?

Yes.

Competition opportunities depend on the student's age, team, program, and competition season.

Do students have to attend every meeting?

Families should make every reasonable effort to attend their team's required activities, especially during competition seasons.

We are also working to provide additional meeting opportunities for students with other commitments.

Do parents have to stay?

Parent requirements may vary by age, activity, facility, and event.

Parents will receive instructions during registration and before special events.

Are volunteers background checked?

Roswell Robo Squad may require background screening and safety training for volunteers and adults working directly with students, depending on their role and applicable requirements.
